Cosmetic Dentistry

We can help you achieve the smile you've always wanted, whether you want a complete smile makeover or to fix a chipped tooth. We have a range of affordable payment options available to choose from. We'd be glad to schedule an appointment that's convenient for you to discuss the different options available.

Porcelain Crowns

Porcelain crowns can match the size, shape and color of your teeth giving you a natural, long-lasting beautiful smile. This is done to protect, repair and strengthen the teeth that can't be restored with fillings or other types of restoration.

Your first appointment will include several highly accurate impressions that will be used to create a mold for your custom crown. Using the mold will create a temporary crown which will stay on your tooth for approximately two weeks until your new crown is created by a dental laboratory. While the tooth is numb, Dr. LaFlamme will prepare and shape the tooth to allow for a proper fitting. Then the temporary crown is place with temporary cement and the bite is checked to ensure you are biting correctly.

At the second appointment, the temporary crown is removed, the tooth cleaned and the new crown is carefully placed to ensure the spacing and bite are accurate. After care instructions are given and encouraged to have regular dental visits to check the new crown.

Porcelain Veneers

Veneers can fix the appearance of severely discolored teeth, unevenly spaced teeth, chipped teeth or teeth that are too large or too small.

Your first appointment will include preparing the teeth by lightly buffing and shaping the surface to allow for the thickness of the veneer. An impression of the teeth is taken and the color is chosen by you and Dr. LaFlamme.

At the second visit, the teeth are cleansed with special liquids to achieve a durable bond. The bonding cement is placed between the tooth and veneer and a special light beam is used to harden and set the bond. After care instructions are given and encouraged to have regular dental visits to check the new veneers.

Porcelain Fixed Bridges

Porcelain Fixed Bridges are the most popular because the can resemble your natural teeth. The bridge consists of two or more crowns that go over the anchoring teeth and are attached to artifical teeth, filling the gap created by one or more missing teeth.

Your first appointment will include numbing the teeth and preparing the anchoring teeth by removing a portion of enamel to allow for a crown. Then, highly accurate impressions will be taken to create a mold for the custom bridge. Using the mold, we also create a temporary bridge which will stay on the tooth for several weeks until the new bridge is created by a dental laboratory. Then the temporary bridge is placed with temporary cement and your bite is checked to ensure you are biting properly.

At the second visit, the temporary bridge is removed and the permanent bridge is carefully checked, adjusted and cemented to achieve the proper fit. Occasionally, Dr. LaFlamme may use a temporary to cement the bridge to allow the teeth and tissue time to get used to the new bridge. That new bridge will be permanently cemented at a later time. After care instructions are given and encouraged to have regular dental visits to check the new bridge.

"Dr. Laflamme is very thorough. From the beginning of going through a comprehensive plan, getting work done, and maintaining good dental health, Dr. Laflamme is great. You can tell that he cares and wants the best for you. If you're looking for excellent, quality care in our small towns in central Wisconsin. I'd recommend him. He also has great hygienists and support staff."
